SAFER GAMBLING POLICY
In order to prevent gambling addiction and ensure compliance with the established regulation on the prevention of gambling-related problems, Solcasino offers this Safer Gambling section in which it provides information, advice and resources to help manage the gambling activity of its participants, so that it is safe and healthy.
A. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SAFE GAMBLING AND THE POTENTIAL RISKS OF GAMBLING
Solcasino, as an operator licensed by the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ), has obtained a license for the development of online gambling activities by complying with all the legal and technical requirements established by the regulation to guaranteesafe gambling, that is to say, fair, integral, reliable and transparent gambling.
Thus, the participation in games offered by Solcasino is safe, since it provides the following advantages to the participants:
Establishment of clear and transparent game rules and the right to be informed of them.
Guarantee of honest game play, without cheating or scams.
Security in deposits, payments and collections.
Identification of the participant (identity and age verification to prevent access to minors).
In addition, Solcasino only offers gambling activities that have been regulated and authorized by the DGOJ and, therefore, legal.
Safe, responsible or healthy gambling is understood as the practice of gambling, in which the participant plays informed of the probabilities of winning or losing, bets moderately and enjoys the gambling experience without the need to assume high risks, and all this as a form of entertainment and fun.
However, sometimes gambling can become a problem, increasing the negative consequences derived from gambling. The main risk of gambling is when it stops being a form of entertainment and becomes a necessity.
The following levels of people's involvement with gambling can be differentiated:
Level 0: Represents people who do not gamble.
Level 1: People who play recreationally without suffering adverse consequences. It could be said that this is the game practiced by the vast majority of the population. It is understood as a healthy, social or recreational game.
Level 2: It is associated with a class of people with a wide range of negative consequences derived from gambling. It is referred to as problem or at-risk gambling.
Level 3: Includes people who suffer sufficiently significant adverse consequences to meet the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for Pathological Gambling (APA, 1994).
Level 4: Includes gamblers who seek professional help and begin treatment for their gambling problems, regardless of the degree of stress or impairment they are suffering.
In this sense, pathological gambling is understood as a disorder consisting of a loss of behavioral control in relation to gambling, with serious consequences for individuals and their environment that affects various aspects of life (personal, family, work, social and economic). A person is considered to have pathological behavior when he or she loses the freedom to decide whether to gamble or not, and gambling becomes a priority need, with the consequent deterioration of individual, family and social life, with the following being essential features of pathological gambling:
Loss of control over the impulses to gamble for a continuous period of time.
Increase in the frequency of gambling and the amount gambled.
The preoccupation to gamble and to obtain money to continue doing it is constant.
Behavioral disturbances in relation to gambling continue even when there are adverse consequences.
Restlessness or irritability when trying to interrupt or stop gambling.
Gambling is used as a strategy to escape from problems or to avoid feelings of sadness, anxiety and irritability.
Family members, therapists or others are misled to hide the degree of involvement with gambling.
Therefore, if there are reasonable indications of pathological gambling, it is necessary to go to professionals specialized in the subject to treat this disorder, otherwise pathological gamblers will be susceptible to have a series of problems in different areas of their life because of gambling, such as the following:
Psychopathological: in the personal area the person presents sadness, anxiety, depression, irritability.
Family: in the family and couple environment there starts to be a lack of family attention, lack of communication, alterations in sexuality, etc.
Labor and Academic: in the labor or academic situation, there is a decrease in performance at work, lack of motivation, unjustified absences, which can lead to abandonment of work or studies, dismissal, etc.
Social: in the social environment there is neglect of friendships, decrease in leisure activities, loss of meaningful relationships, etc.
Substance use: in some cases use and abuse of tobacco, alcohol and/or cocaine, among other addictive substances.
Legal: in relations with the justice system, often problems due to fraud, theft and other criminal activities.
Economic: on the economic level, there are debts and money problems related to gambling.
B. PROHIBITION OF GAMBLING BY MINORS
A protection measure dictated by the Law is the prohibition of gambling to minors, that is to say to those under 18 years of age. For this reason, in Solcasino during the registration process in our website we ask for the date of birth, data that is checked against the information provided by the General Police Department, in order to verify the data and ensure the age of majority.
Additionally, Solcasino informs on its web page that minors are not allowed to play, using a logo that identifies such prohibition.
On the other hand, parents or guardians are a great help to prevent minors from accessing gambling, since parents who are aware of the risks associated with problem gambling are the first step to prevent minors from starting to gamble, for example:
Accompanying minors when surfing the Internet as a first training measure.
Closing the gaming sessions.
Saving passwords securely.
Installing preventive software and appropriate filters on their computers.
C. THE POWER OF SELF-PROHIBITION AND THE CONDITIONS OF ITS EXERCISE.
Self-prohibition is the power of a person to request that he/she be prohibited from participating in gambling activities, by registering in the General Registry of Gambling Access Prohibitions (RGIAJ).
It is possible to request the registration or inscription in the RGIAJ file through a direct access to the DGOJ web service available at any time on the Solcasino website or by accessing https://www.ordenacionjuego.es/es/rgiaj. The registration will be for an indefinite period of time, although the registrant may request its cancellation after 6 months from the date of registration.
D. INFORMATION ABOUT THE TOOL FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DEPOSIT LIMITS AND ITS OPERATION AND MODIFICATION.
The deposit limit allows the participant to determine the maximum amount he/she can deposit in a given period of time: daily, weekly or monthly. The predetermined maximum deposit limits will generally be as follows:
€600 daily.
1,500 per week.
3,000 per month.
For these purposes, the time periods shall be computed as follows:
Day: calendar day between 00:00 a.m. and midnight.
Week: period between 00:00 h on Monday and 24:00 h on Sunday.
Month: period between 00:00 h on day 1 and 24:00 h on the last day of the corresponding month.
Solcasino allows participants to voluntarily set deposit limits lower than the predetermined or generally established amounts. Each participant must make this request expressly and individually. These requests will be immediately honored.
In addition, participants may request, also on an express and individual basis, the increase of their deposit limits or the removal of any of the limits applicable to their deposit account in excess of the generally pre-determined amounts.
Such requests may be honored by Solcasino provided that the following conditions are jointly met:
That the participant has completed and passed the self-assessment test.
That the participant has not incurred in risky behaviors during the last three (3) months, according to the historical analysis of his/her playing history.
The new limits will take effect within a maximum period of three (3) days from the fulfillment of the above requirements.
A new increase in the limits established by the participant above the generally predetermined amounts may not be requested until three (3) months have elapsed since the last approved increase.
E. THE POSSIBILITY OF TEMPORARY SELF-EXCLUSION FROM THE GAMING ACCOUNT.
The self-exclusion functionality allows the participant to voluntarily block his/her gaming account for a period of time of his/her choice.
During the period of temporary self-exclusion, Solcasino will suspend the participant's user registration and game account. Consequently, during this period, the participant:
Will not be able to access the game.
Will not be able to log in or make deposits.
He/she will not be able to withdraw the funds available in his/her account.
The self-exclusion will be effective no later than 48 hours after the request is completed.
The choice of the temporary self-exclusion period is irrevocable. Therefore, the participant will not be able to cancel or cancel the self-exclusion until the selected period has elapsed. At the end of this period, the user registration and the game account will be automatically reactivated.
Before activating the self-exclusion, Solcasino will inform the participant about its effects and validity, prior to the acceptance of the request.
As a consequence of the self-exclusion, Solcasino will not send the participant any commercial communications by e-mail or other equivalent means of communication, including those related to promotional activities and their enjoyment. This measure will cease to apply from the day following the day on which the participant ceases to be self-excluded.
In case of repeated or successive requests for self-exclusion, or when Solcasino deems it appropriate, Solcasino reserves the right to request the evidence it deems appropriate to verify the suitability of the participant to access its gaming services, in accordance with its Safe or Responsible Gaming Policies.

I. STUDIES AND PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF SAFE GAMBLING
In order to promote or approach statistical studies on safe gambling and gambling patterns, Solcasino participates in studies and projects to mitigate the harmful effects of gambling. Likewise, our Safer Gaming Policy is reviewed taking into account new research, reference publications of specialized organizations in the field, as well as the information obtained through the publication of studies of the organizations of which we are part.
J. PROVISION OF INFORMATION ON THE SELF-ASSESSMENT TEST, WITH IDENTIFICATION OF THE ENTITY THAT PREPARED OR APPROVED IT AND OF THE RULES FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED.
As mentioned at the beginning of this policy, an irresponsible and excessive use of the game can lead the participant to problems of various kinds. To avoid this risk, it is important to follow these tips when playing the game:
Take into account how long you have been playing.
Only play what you can afford to spend.
Consider gambling as mere entertainment and not as a source of income or a way to pay off debts.
Establish your own time and economic limits before starting to gamble, stopping when you reach those previously set limits.
Do not gamble under the influence of alcohol or medication.
Do not gamble in moments of emotional crisis.
Make sure that the gambling activity is carried out with family or friends, avoiding playing alone, accepting losses and enjoying winnings.
Below is a link to the self-assessment test, approved by Resolution of November 16, 2011 of the General Directorate of Gambling Regulation, which allows to reveal potentially problematic attitudes and gambling patterns. In the event that a participant suspects excessive gambling, it is recommended to take the test and, if necessary, adopt the restriction measures that Solcasino makes available to its participants in this policy. The test includes, at a minimum, the following questions:
Do you often find yourself reminiscing about past gambling experiences, planning the next time you are going to gamble and/or consider ways to get money with which to gamble?
Yes/No
Have you ever gambled more money than you intended to?
Yes/No
Do you try to control, interrupt or stop gambling?
Yes/No
Does the attempt to interrupt or stop gambling make you restless or irritable?
Yes/No
Do you play to escape from a problem?
Yes/No
When you gamble, do you gamble again to win back the money you have lost?
Yes/No
Do you think you have a gambling problem?
Yes/No
Do you end your gambling activity through family money, borrowing, counterfeiting, fraud or theft?
Yes/No
Have you ever missed work or class time due to gambling?
Yes/No
Have you ever turned to anyone for help with your financial problems caused by gambling?
Yes/No
K. MECHANISMS FOR DETECTING RISKY BEHAVIORS IN PARTICIPANTS AND ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN WHEN SUCH BEHAVIORS ARE DETECTED.
In order to guarantee and promote safer gambling, there are mechanisms that evaluate the risk level of the participant, assessing the participations, deposit-withdrawal transactions and the participant's history, among others. This evaluation may result in sending the participant, during the gambling session, informative notices about his/her spending limit, session time or information related to safer gambling measures to the e-mail address registered in the user profile. Furthermore, depending on the result of the evaluation, the participant may be classified as a participant with risky behavior. In such a case, no promotions will be sent and no deposit limit extensions will be accepted. In cases of extreme necessity, such as the manifestation of a problem with the game, the detection that there may be a prohibited person behind a registration under another name, or an attempt to access the game by a minor, we will proceed with the preventive suspension of your gaming account as a precaution.
L. SECURE GAMING HOTLINE.
Solcasino makes available to its participants a telephone service(951305012) for assistance in matters of safe gambling, free of charge, confidential, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
